Lang Son to have new urban area worth 2.9 trillion VND
(LSO) – The Lang Son provincial People’s Committee on March 9 signed a deal with a venture between Hai Phat Investment JSC and Ha Son Ltd, Co. for the construction of Mai Pha new urban area, worth nearly 2.9 trillion VND.
Present at the signing ceremony was Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Ho Tien Thieu, and representatives from relevant departments and agencies.

The project is part of Lang Son city’s urban development planning in which the city is expected to become a first-class city by 2030.
The 91-hectare project, located in Lang Son city’s Mai Pha commune, is designed to accommodate over 9,600 people.
It is situated on the southern bank of Ky Cung River, bordering the city’s southern resettlement zone. It aims to provide land for development of housing for people relocated because of the construction of other projects and to become a modern urban zone. It will be carried out in six years.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Thieu said it is the province’s key project which helps Lang Son city turn into a first-class city by 2030. He urged the province’s relevant departments and agencies to, without delay, support the investors to complete all required legal steps for the project to begin construction.
The People’s Committee of Lang Son city must coordinate with the investors to promptly implement land clearance and resettlement of people while the investors must prepare all necessary resources to fast-track the project’s progress and keep up with the schedule.
