Lang Son monitors implementation of requests of provincial People’s Council,

(LSO) – The standing board of the People’s Council of Lang Son province on November 6 held a conference to monitor the results of implementing requests at supervision sessions of the provincial People’s Council and the standing board of the provincial People’s Council in 2018.

Vice Chairwoman of the standing board of the provincial People’s Council Doan Thi Hau, head of the supervision delegation, chaired the conference.

The event was attended by Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Ho Tien Thieu, representatives from the departments of Natural Resources and Environment, and Culture, Sports and Tourism, and those from the People’s Committees of Dinh Lap, Loc Binh, Cao Loc, and Binh Gia districts, and Lang Son city.

According to a report presented at the conference, the provincial People’s Committee focused on directing the settlement of requests at supervision sessions of the provincial People’s Council and the standing board of the provincial People’s Council in 2018, with focus on resolving requests related to land management, improvement of procedures for issuing land use right certificates for a number of units that have yet to be granted land use right certificates.

In recent times, the provincial People’s Committee directed the settlement of public land encroachment (with three of 23 land lots processed), the misuse of land and vacant land areas (with ten of 110 land areas processed). It also conducted the review of public assets of each agency and unit to build management database.

Besides, the People’s Committee of Lang Son was asked to speed up the land clearance in the urban areas of Phu Loc I, II, III, IV and Nam Hoang Dong I in order to accelerate the project’s progress.

At the conference, representatives of departments, sectors and the People’s Committees of the districts and Lang Son city discussed, explained and clarified contents related to reasons behind the low rate of land use right certificate issuance for organisations, and the limitation in addressing issues related to the misuse of public land areas, and the process of land clearance and compensation in urban areas in Lang Son city.

Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Ho Tien Thieu admitted to limitations, and pointed out causes behinds the above-mentioned situations.

He affirmed that the provincial People’s Committee will continue steering, towards basically completing the issuance of land use right certificates to units, and addressing at least 70 percent of public land areas that are encroached, and used ineffectively and for wrong purposes by 2022.

Concluding the conference, Doan Thi Hau acknowledged efforts of the provincial People’s Committee in implementing requests of the provincial People’s Council, and the standing board of the provincial People’s Council in 2018.

She asked the provincial People’s Committee to direct the provincial Department of Natural Resources and Environment, and the People’s Committees of the districts in the issuance of land use right certificates, and settlement of public land encroachment. The provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism needs to speed up the settlement of the issue regarding 35 kiosks for rent, she said./.
