Lang Son People’s Committee convenes August regular meeting

Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of Lang Son province Ho Tien Thieu chaired a regular meeting of the committee on August 13.

The meeting focused discussions on contents for submission to the 13th meeting of the provincial People’s Council and considered petitions of localities in implementing Decision No.10/2019/QD-UBND dated on May 2, 2019, of the provincial People’s Committee on compensation, resettlement support and land clearance for projects in the province.

Delegates discussed a planned framework of public investment projects in 2020 and capital distribution for these projects, which must be in line with the central budegt’s capital allocation under the medium-term investment plan for the 2016-2020 period.

A majority of the delegates proposed keeping articles and provisions in the Decision No.10/2019/QD-UBND on implementing compensation and resettlement support in the province. They held that it is not necessary to revise these articles and provisions as proposed by districts and city because this Decision had been built thoroughly and suitable with the practical conditions in the province.

Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Ho Tien Thieu said the public investment plan 2020 will be submitted to the provincial People’s Council for approval of the investment list as regulated.

To ensure the progress, the provincial Department of Planning and Investment will coordinate with the Department of Finance to finalise the draft plan for submission to the provincial People’s Committee for signing ahead of August 15, 2019 before submitting to the provincial People’s Council at its 13th session.

He asked districts and city to seriously implement Decision No.10/2019/QD-UBND of the provincial People’s Committee and increase communication campaigns to help people understand correctly the provincial targets and policies on compensation and resettlement in favour of local socio-economic development.

Delegates agreed to pass the draft report and draft resolution of the provincial People’s Council for submission to its 13th meeting on using the source of deductible budget for salary expenditure which has been structured in the price of medical examination and treatment services in 2018 and supplementing the list of projects to be acquired in 2019 for the headquarter project of the Taxation Department of Cao Loc district as well as removing Resolution No.17/2016/NQ-HDND dated on December 8, 2016 of the provincial People’s Council prescribing the support level for public employees working in the one-stop-shop division at State administrative agencies in the province.
