Lang Son: Launching in response to “National Day Against Trafficking in Persons”
(LSO) – On July 30, at the hall of Binh Gia District People’s Committee, the Provincial Women’s Union held a launching ceremony in response to “National Day Against Trafficking in Persons on July 30″
The program was attended by the leaders of the District Party Committee, the District People’s Committee, divisions, committees, unions in Binh Gia District and nearly 200 women members in the district.
In the program, the leader of Binh Gia District Women’s Union called on women officials and members to proactively equip themselves with knowledge and skills to protect their families and themselves against conspiracies and tricks of human traffickers, timely denounce criminals organizing human trafficking acts.
The short play “Cost” sent the message “People are not for sale, let’s join hands to stop human trafficking” to the program.
After that, the delegates watched small plays, reportage propagating on human trafficking prevention and fight with contents such as reality, tricks of criminals; solutions to prevent trafficking human crimes; the participation of women’s unions at all levels to contribute to human trafficking prevention and combat; receiving, supporting victims to integrate into the community and so on.
The officials of the Provincial Women’s Union, Binh Gia District Women’s Union distributed leaflets propagating about human trafficking prevention and combat to small traders in Binh Gia township market.
Also, at the ceremony, the representatives of the District Women’s Union, the District Police Women’s Union, 19 out of 19 leaders of the Commune and Township Women’s Unions in Binh Gia District signed a commitment to prevent and combat human trafficking.
After the launching ceremony, the officials of the Provincial Women’s Union, Binh Gia District Women’s Union propagated and distributed leaflets about human trafficking prevention and combat in Binh Gia township market.
