Lang Son commends drug fighting forces
(LSO) – The People’s Committee of Lang Son province held a ceremony on March 23 to reward those who made contributions to the success of drug prevention cases: LS320p, 206M and 294M.
Attending the event were Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Ho Tien Thieu, and Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Cong Truong, who is also head of the provincial Steering Committee for Combating Smuggling, Commercial Fraud and Counterfeit Goods (Steering Committee 389).
At the event, leading officers of the provincial Border Guard High Command and provincial Police reported the process of struggling and arresting drug criminals.

Accordingly, on March 13, the provincial Border Guard High Command coordinated with relevant agencies to successfully break case LS320P, seizing 246kg of synthetic drugs and arresting three drug traffickers from Vietnam to China, including Loc Van Cat, born in 1988 and residing in Cao Lau commune, Cao Loc district, Lang Son province; Vy Van Hen, born in 1990 and residing in Xuat Le commune, Cao Loc district; and Hoang Van Chinh, born in 1994 and residing in Ningming County, China’s Guangxi province.
During further investigations, the provincial Police named case 206M. On March 19-20, the provincial Police coordinated with the Ministry of Public Security’s specialised units to arrest and search the houses of three suspects: Pham Van An, born in 1989 and residing in Dong Son commune, Nam Truc district, Nam Dinh province; Pham Van Dao, born in 1985 and residing in Yen Hoa ward, Hanoi’s Cau Giay district; and Tran Manh Dung, born in 1979 and residing in Khuong Thuong ward, Hanoi’s Dong Da district. As many as 200kg of synthetic drugs were seized.

For case 294M, on February 26, in Nhan My commune, Tan Lac district of Hoa Binh province, the Lang Son provincial Police coordinated with the Ministry of Public Security’s specialised units and the Hoa Binh provincial Police to catch red-handed Nguyen Thi Tinh, born in 1994 and residing in Ha Thach commune, Phu Tho town, Phu Tho province, when she was transporting 6 kg of synthetic drugs, 1,990 synthetic drug pills and two small packages of ketamine. During further investigation, functional forces arrested three others.
Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman Ho Tien Thieu praised the provincial Border Guard High Command and provincial Police for coordinating with the Ministry of Public Security’s specialised units in breaking the special cases, seizing a large amount of drugs and having no human losses.
On this occasion, the provincial leaders granted certificates of merit to 11 collectives and 20 individuals with outstanding achievements in the three special cases. /.
