The National Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control inspected in Lang Son
(LSO) – On November 10, the Inspection Mission No. 1 of the National Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Controlled by Mr. Dang Quang Tan, Director of Department of Preventive Medicine, Ministry of Health inspected entry management, medical quarantine and surveillance in the epidemic prevention and control in Lang Son province and worked with the Provincial Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control.
The mission checked entry for experts, the procedures of body temperature check and medical declaration at Huu Nghi International Border Gate, Cao Loc district and checked medical quarantine at the three hotels in Lang Son city, including Hoa Sim Hotel, Muong Thanh Luxury Lang Son Hotel, Phu Quy Hotel.

Through inspection, it shows that the Covid-19 prevention and control at Huu Nghi International Border Gate has been strictly and effectively implemented, contributing to preventing the epidemic from entering Vietnam. The assurance of security and safety in the epidemic prevention and control is complied with the procedures and instructions of Ministry of Health by the hotels.
At the meeting, members of the Provincial Steering Committee proposed some contents such as requesting the National Steering Committee to issue a document guiding the quarantine for people entering and exiting illegally; considering adjusting regulations for medical and security staff participating in quarantine at hotels by working shift and team work as in medical facilities.

Members of the Provincial Steering Committee also asked the National Steering Committee, Ministry of Health and relevant ministries and agencies to provide specific guiding documents in the procurement of medical equipment, chemicals, and biologicals for Covid-19 prevention and control. Speaking at the meeting, the head of the mission suggested that the province continue to strengthen the inspection of the epidemic prevention and control in quarantine areas, border areas and diversify forms of communications about the epidemic prevention and control to raise people’s awareness.
At the same time, the Provincial Steering Committee need continue to pay attention to ensuring the infection prevention and control for officials involved in the epidemic prevention and control; intensify disinfection in areas with high risk of infection and thoroughly treat medical waste in quarantine areas.
The mission received the province’s proposals and recommendations to report to the National Steering Committee.
